History Alive! on the Cherokee Strip: Independence Day Celebration
Join us at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center for a very special Independence Day Celebration during History Alive! on the Cherokee Strip! We’re celebrating America’s 250th by stepping back in time to the Progressive Era! Come enjoy popular games and crafts of the 1890s, listen to patriotic music, try your hand at some American trivia, and so much more! It’s going be a humdinger of a time!

On the first and third Saturday of each month, the historic buildings in the Village come alive with living-history reenactors, who are doing homestead chores, teaching school, or socializing at the Village Church. Visitors can learn about different skills and trades of the time, or file a land claim in the Land Office. Visitors will be able to participate in hands-on activities such as rag doll making, carpentry, sewing, land surveying, and more!
This event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of every month and is included in the regular price of admission at no extra cost.
